DAKOTA STATE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR SEARCH NARROWS Final Four Candidates to be Interviewed (Madison, SD) The
search for the new Dakota State University Athletic Director is approaching its
final phase. With the field
narrowed to four candidates, interviews will begin on the evening of March 12th
with one candidate arriving each evening for four consecutive nights.
“It is our expectation,” said Marty Gallanter, chair of the Search
and Screen Committee, “that we will have a difficult time choosing between
these candidates. They are all
quality individuals with the background, experience and enthusiasm we are
seeking. I am sure that DSU student athletes, coaches and sports fans
will not be disappointed with any of the four.”
Gallanter identified in alphabetical order candidates as:
Each of the candidates will spend
a full day at Dakota State meeting with various individuals and campus groups.
A final decision is expected to be announced before the end of March.
Other members of the Athletic Director Search and Screen Committee
appointed by Dr. Tunheim include Marc Bergan, DSU’s Football Coach, Amy
Crissinger, DSU Admissions Director; Tom Farrel an Assistant Professor in the
College of Business and Information Systems; Katherine Sizer, a student athlete,
Chris Wede, a member of the DSU Foundation Board and Lyndon Weiseman, Athletic
Development Director. Staff
