editor's introduction:
(and shameless plea for submissions)
Welcome! New Tricks, the literary magazine of the DSU community, is pleased to bring you its debut web-based edition! The texts you will find on this special, promotional New Tricks site are not new: each one has appeared in an earlier, printed edition of New Tricks. Why should we repeat ourselves? The reason for this repetition, reiteration and general redundancy is to remind our readers (particularly those who may wish to submit new material for our next edition--deadline: March 30, 2001) what a rich and pleasurable publication New Tricks really is, and just how low-key it can be. Anyone in the DSU community can write for it. You don’t have to be Shakespeare; you just need to have something to say in a literary way! So please, read and enjoy the selections. And if you are a member of the DSU community, submit new poems, stories or plays to New Tricks. To submit material on line, send it as plain text to Daniel.Weinstein@dsu.edu . Or, if your prefer, submit printed material to the Sigma Tau Delta mailbox in room 115 Beadle Hall on the DSU campus. Thank you, and happy reading!
