In What Research Database Should I Start Research?

  Choose a "General" or "All Subjects" database that covers all topics in a single database. Good databases in which to start your research are the following databases:

1. Gale Virtual Reference Library      }} search database
Encyclopedia articles provide good starting points for research by providing overviews of topics. This database provides access to articles from numerous specialized encyclopedias: Endangered Species; Encyclopedia of Modern Middle East & North Africa; New Dictionary of the History of Ideas; Encyclopedia of the American Constitution; Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine; World Religions Reference Library; World of Forensic Science; and many, many more.

2. Proquest Research Library      }} search database 
This Proquest database includes full-text magazine/journal articles.     
       } link to information about all Proquest databases
        

3. Academic Search Premier       }} search database
This database provided by EBSCOhost includes full-text magazine/journal articles
       } link to information about all EBSCOhost databases

4. Library Catalog       }}search database
This database provided by the SD Library Network provides access to online books, plus descriptions and locations of print books, videos, CDs, DVDs, etc. in the Mundt Library or in other libraries in South Dakota
