Free trials of COMPUTER-SCIENCEnetBASE and
ITKnowledgenetBASE are active through 11/16/2009. Each database provides a collection of full-text
books on the subject of computer science or
information technology.
How to use the database:
Link to
one of the databases
COMPUTER-SCIENCEnetBASE
or
ITKnowledgenetBASE
Search for terms within all
books -- using the search box on the left side of
the database entry screen.
Search for terms in selected
books – using Advanced Search (link is under the
search box on entry screen)
Browse categories of books –
using the “Browse by Category” box. Book titles for
the category appear in an alphabetic list to the
right
Be sure to let us know if you have any questions
with the database or are unable to access it. We
know that there are problems with off-campus access
for some (but not all) users, and we haven’t yet
identified the causes. If you aren’t able to access
a book in the database from off-campus, please let
us know details (computer being used – PC? Mac?;
browser being used; specific problem & point of
failure)
