  • If the full-text of an article is not in the database you searched, it may be in print in the library or in another database. Use the Journal Finder to find out if the journal is available at the Library.  If not, request a copy through Interlibrary Loan.  Distance students may request any item which is not full-text online.

Infotrieve Article Finder

Description: Mundt Library does not subscribe, but you have free access to citations for scientific, technical, medical and other scholarly articles in thousands of journals. Although Infotrieve sells the full articles, you can get them for free from the Mundt Library--look for article's journal in Mundt Library's Journal Finder or request the article through Interlibrary Loan. In Article Finder, find citations to articles on a specific topic.

Ingenta (1988 - present) - Includes UnCover Plus

Description: Mundt Library does not subscribe, but you have free access to citations to over 12 million articles which have appeared since Fall 1988 in over 26,000 multidisciplinary journals. Although Ingenta sells the full articles, you can get free full-text from the Mundt Library--look for article's journal in Mundt Library's Journal Finder or request the article through Interlibrary Loan.  In Ingenta, view tables of contents of specific journal issues or find citations to articles on a specific topic. 

Library Catalog of the Mundt Library

Description: This is the Mundt Library "card catalog," an index to all items that the Mundt Library owns or to which the Mundt Library subscribes (including online resources). The entire SD Library Network or other individual libraries in the Network may also be selected for search. Use this database to find books, videos, cds, magazines, journals, newspapers, online resources, etc.

MasterFILE Premier (1975 - present)

Description: Indexes and abstracts articles for a general audience on a broad range of subjects and provides the complete (text and graphics) of many of the articles it indexes.  Aimed at a public library audience, it provides fewer scholarly articles than the Academic Search Premier database.

National Newspapers Abstracts

Description: Citations and brief abstracts for articles in the New York Times, USA TODAY, Wall Street Journal, and Barron's plus full-text of articles in Barron's. Use the "Journal Finder" to find out where the full-text of these articles are available (some are in print in the library, some are in the database LexisNexis Academic, etc.)

netLibrary

Description: Provides a collection of electronic books on a wide range of topics.  The ebooks in this collection may also be found by searching the Library Catalog of the Mundt Library and linking directly from the Catalog to the ebooks themselves. Off-campus access with your regular library ID and password can be problematic; the most reliable method to ensure access from off-campus is to create a personal NetLibrary account when on-campus. Use the "create an account" link at the very top of the screen.  Distance students who are unable to login into NetLibrary can ask the Mundt Library staff to create an account for them.

Newsbank

Description: Provides full text access to two South Dakota newspapers -- Aberdeen American News and the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader -- and to several popular magazines such as Fortune, Real Simple, Sports Illustrated, etc.  Click on  "America's Newspapers" to search the newspapers or on "America's news magazines" to search the magazines.
