Search tips:
-
Use quotation marks (“ ”) to search for exact phrases (that is, two
words must be side-by-side in the article):
"missouri river"
-
To find articles in which the words appear but do not have to be
side-by-side, connect the words with AND:
darwin and evolution
- The asterisk (*) is used for right-hand truncation to get multiple
word endings. For example, to retrieve articles with the words educate, educates, educator, educators, education,
educational, type:
educat*

Proquest is a subscription database service
with access restricted to Dakota State University students, faculty and
staff. Its databases provide citations, abstracts and
often the complete text of magazine, journal and newspaper
articles. Some databases are general (that is, covering all topics) but are aimed at different
audiences. Some databases are specialized (by subject) so
are able to provide more depth of coverage about the subject.
