If
you find the obituary in the Obituary Index, you may
order it in one of the following 2 ways:
1. Request your local library to obtain the obituary for you through Interlibrary Loan. It is your responsibility to provide your local library with the complete citation for the obituary that you found in the Obituary Index.
Many libraries offer interlibrary loan services for free, and the Mundt Library will not charge your library for the obituary.
HOWEVER:
We do not provide
Interlibrary Loan services without a complete citation.
The complete citation that
you take to your local library (and that we receive from them) must
include all of the following from the Obituary Index:

first and last name of the person
·
date in which the obituary was published in the Madison Daily Leader
·
page and column where obituary is located
2. Request the obituary directly from the Mundt Library by following these instructions:
a.
Provide the complete citation;
include all of the following from the Obituary Index:

b. include with your request a check for $5.00 made out to:

If you cannot find the Madison Daily Leader obituary that you need in the
Obituary Index, request
that we manually search for the obituary.
For this kind of request, you must:
