INFORMATION ASSURANCE SUBJECT GUIDE

DESCRIPTION: This subject guide is to help students find resources in the information assurance field. The guide is designed for both on-campus and distance education students and refers to sources available online in addition to print materials in the Mundt Library.

Important Services
Ask a Librarian -  Please contact us if you need assistance in locating information or have trouble accessing the Library's information services.  Contact us via email, web form, IM, phone or in person.

Interlibrary Loan - A service that allows you to receive electronic copies of articles and to borrow print (and videos, etc), which are not available from the Mundt Library.  Other libraries will make copies of article or loan us items.  There is usually no charge for using this service.

DESCRIPTION: The ACM (Association of Computing Machinery) provides this source of bibliographic information, citations, and full-text articles about computing. It includes: ACM journals and magazines, ACM proceedings by subject, ACM proceedings by sponsor, ACM proceedings by series, journals and magazines by affiliated publishers, and resources from affiliated organizations.

DESCRIPTION: An IEEE collection of magazines and transaction on many aspects of computer science.  Some association with ACM.

DESCRIPTION: Free access Tables of Contents, and Abstract records of IEEE transactions, journals, magazines, conference proceedings and standards. This database allows you to search by keyword, subject and date.

DESCRIPTION: A comprehensive citation database used for finding citations and references for articles in almost 9000+ high quality, peer-reviewed journals published from 1992 to the present. Web of Science provides complete bibliographic data, searchable author abstracts, and cited references.

DESCRIPTION
: ABI/INFORM, a key database for finding articles in more than 800 business and management journals. It provide information on advertising, economics, human resources, finance, marketing, computer systems and information science and more. Plus information on over 60,000 companies.

ResearchIndex/CiteSeer: NECI Scientific Literature Digital Library
DESCRIPTION
: Free, full-text index of scientific literature (being Beta tested). In addition to citation for each article, provides "context" -- a sentence from the article in which the words occur. This database allows you to search both citations (i.e. is a citation index) and documents.

Collection of Computer Science Bibliographies 
DESCRIPTION: This is a collection of bibliographies of scientific literature in computer science from various sources, covering most aspects of computer science. The bibliographies are updated monthly from their original locations such that you'll always find the most recent versions here.

Computer Research Repository
DESCRIPTION: CoRR is a single repository to which researchers from the whole field of computing can submit reports, a place to search for research results, and an archive of a research projects. This is a partnership of ACM, the arXiv.org e-print archive (originally at Los Alamos, now based at Cornell), and NCSTRL (Networked Computer Science Technical Reference Library). The CoRR is available to all members of the community at no charge.

Library Catalog (SDLN)  
DESCRIPTION
: The Library Catalog is a database in the SD Library Network (SDLN) that describes resources (physical and electronic) the library owns (such as books or videocassettes) and resources to which the library subscribes (such as databases or magazines). Search for items by author, title, keyword, or Library of Congress subject headings. Search DSU and/or the entire SDLN member catalogs.  Items at other libraries can be ordered at no charge via interlibrary loan.

DESCRIPTION
An enormous online catalog of libraries throughout the US, Canada, the UK, and other countries.  Search for items and we will borrow them for you (interlibrary loan).  You will need your library ID and password to order items.

This database, featuring Taylor & Francis titles, provides a wealth of material exploring system analysis and server set-up, as well as cryptography, cyber-crime, and other modern risks.  The database is a collection of approximately 70 ebooks in PDF.
