My EBSCO allows you to set up a personal account in EBSCOhost which allow you to Save Search Results, create Article Alerts and create Journal Alerts. The account is similar to online shopping accounts (e.g. Amazon.com), but this account may make your research more efficient.
To create a personal account (this is
SEPARATE from your library ID/password) ...
1. Enter EBSCOhost from the library homepage
2. In the upper-lefthand corner select "Sign In to My EBSCOhost"
3. Fill out form.
Saved Search Results & Article Alerts || Journal Alerts and Journal Persistent Links
Saved Search Results & Article Alerts
Saving Search Results allows one to find the results of
past searches.
Article Alerts allows one to be notified via email when new articles are
available on a particular subject(s).
[NOTE: Login beforehand or you will be
prompted when you try to save.]
How to create Saved Searches and Article Alerts
1. Perform an Advanced Search (cannot save in
Basic search mode).
2. Select the Search History/Alerts tab (between Refine Search and Results tabs)
3. Select Save Searches/Alerts
4. Fill out form
a. Save search (permanently or temporary) or
b. Create an Alert (fill out frequency)
5. To retrieve (or edit) results or alerts select My Folder (upper right hand).

Journal Alerts & Journal Persistent Links
Journal Persistent Links allows you to link
to a particular journal at any time.
Journal Alerts allows you to be notified when new articles are available from a
particular journal.
[NOTE: Must login in to create Journal Alerts. Login beforehand or you will
be prompted when you try to save.]
How to create Journal Alerts and
Journal Persistent Links
1. Perform a Publication Search
(the image below displays the button for this search)
2. Select a journal/magazine from your search results
3. A screen similar to the one below will be retrieved.
a. Copy the "Link
to this Journal" URL to save for future access
b. Create a Journal Alert
