  • International Children's Digital Library (ICDL) --  a digital library of international children's books (five-year project beginning in 2002;funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS))

  • Europeana (European Digital Library) - Europeana is a prototype digital library developed by the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, for the European Digital Library project.   • Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) Archives -- a collection of radio and tv clips about themes and events that have affected Canadian life since the creation of radio in 1936 and television in 1952.

  Book swapping

  • BookMooch -- "BookMooch is a community for exchanging used books. BookMooch lets you give away books you no longer need in exchange for books you really want."
  • TitleTrader -- "book, movie, and music swap club on the internet. Titletrader is a free service that allows users to exchange books (paperback and hardcover), music (CDs), and movies (DVDs and VHS) with other community members from anywhere around the world."
