The Foundation and Archives are housed in the Karl Mundt Library on Dakota State University campus in Madison, S.D. The Mundt Archives includes over 1.9 million documents which have been catalogued and microfilmed.

Research Room Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30-4:00. The facility is closed on legal holidays.
The Senator's files can be viewed at the Foundation. Also the microfilm is available through
interlibrary loan. A copyright disclaimer and application form needs to be signed before research can be done.
In 1988, the Mundt biography, A FAIR CHANCE FOR A FREE PEOPLE by Scott Heidepriem was published and a biographical film with the same title was released by the Mundt Foundation.
