Sony Digital8 or Panasonic PV-DV202 - Windows Media Encoder

To transfer video from a the Sony or Panasonic camera to your computer you will need to download and install two software programs (Step A).  After these are installed follow the Transfer video instructions (Step B).

B. Transfer video from camera to computer (step three)

Download and Installation Windows Media Encoder 9 software instructions (using Internet Explorer)

1. Download “Windows Media Encoder” from the following DSU link - http://www.video.dsu.edu/files/WMEncoder.exe

2. Select Save



3. After the file is saved, select Run or double-click on the “WMEncoder” icon on your desktop.
 
 

4. Select “Next.”


5. Read through the agreement and check “I Agree” and click “Next.”


6. Select the location where you would like the program to be installed.
7. Select “Next.”


8. Select “Install.”


9. When done installing click “Finish.”


Now Transfer the video to your computer (Step 3 of 3)
