Evaluation Criteria

Learning to critical evaluation is a key skill one needs to work and live in our "information society." You evaulate information every day, but the five criterion below will help you learn how to critically evaluate information for you academic and personal life. Each criterion is review on the next five screens.

Accuracy - is the information reliable and error free?
Authority - who is the author?
Objectivity - is the information biased or unbiased?
Currency - when was the information published?
Coverage - Is the information appropriate for my needs?
