Step 2: Strategize
Consider: What types of sources are likely to provide the answer(s)?
Information can come from virtually anywhere: Personal experience, books, experts opinions, encyclopedias, the web. etc. The type of information you need will change depending on the question you are trying to answer.
Look at the following sources of information. Notice the differences and similarities among them.
Keep in mind the following three questions
1. Which sources can you find online and/or in print?
2. Which sources guide you to other information on your topic?
3. Which sources would you use when writing a research paper
or completing a project?
** Remember to use multiple sources - different sources will provide different perspectives. Plus, most sources are bias, in one way or another, and the more sources you use the more likely you will be able to see the differences and similarities.
