CSA Employee of the Month Marilyn Halgerson

Marilyn Halgerson, Programming Manager in Computing Services, was named February Employee of the Month.  Marilyn has played an instrumental part in the system-wide implementation of the Colleague Student Information System.  She has supervised the programming staff for a number of years, and is very conscientious about the job that she does.  Marilyn has worked at DSU since September 1982, and also received her AA and BBA degrees here.  Marilyn and her husband, Loren, have two children and reside in Madison. 

There were two recurring themes in the comments of those who nominated Marilyn – her pleasantness and her job knowledge.  Some of the comments included, “She’s always pleasant, always friendly, and has the solution to every problem. . . “  “Marilyn is one of those ‘behind the scenes’ persons, but is very important to those of us who use Colleague and expect things to work or to get the information we want.  I think she deserves this recognition.”
