CSA Employee of the Month Karen Alfson

Karen Alfson, DSU’s purchasing specialist and Senior Claims Clerk, has been honored by her peers as April Career Service Employee of the Month. Karen has worked in the Business Office since December of 1989 in the areas of accounts payable and purchasing. She has the respect of her co-workers and others in the University.

Karen is flexible and willing to get information to me in a timely manner. 

Karen is always smiling even if I'm calling to ask where a check is for entertainers, or staff people. 

Karen is always friendly and willing to go beyond her comfort zone to help. I consider Karen a good friend and she has always given her all to DSU.

Karen is always pleasant and helpful. She has taught me a lot since I started working in the Business Office and she has never made any question I might have had seem like a dumb question.

Karen is very knowledgeable and competent in her job.
