Mike Waldner, Communications Network Analyst, was named March CSA Employee of the Month. Mike Waldner, a 1988 DSU graduate, came back to DSU in December of 1995 after working for the Bureau of Information and Telecommunications in Pierre, SD. He is constantly looking for ways to improve and promote DSU. He does this by doing whatever it takes to assist the faculty/staff, helping folks in the community or taking the time to discuss the computer industry with a high school student from the area K-12 schools. He can often be seen during the evenings with one or more of his children checking on servers or repairing a problem on campus.

Some of the comments from his peers are:

• Mike is a behind the scenes guy who does a lot of work keeping things running. He helps keep the servers up and running.
• Mike 's attitude is always upbeat and willing to help.
• Mike is great not only at Dakota State with everything he does, but he helps people in the community as well.

Mike and his wife, Lori, have three children: Jessica Fjerstad, 14; Brendon, 4; and Sydnie, 2.
