CSA Employee of the Month Carla Sudenga

Dakota State University’s employee of the month for March 1998 is Carla Sudenga. Carla is a senior secretary in the Athletic Department, where she has worked for the past 10 years. She also worked at DSU from September 1983 to April 1987 in the Admissions/Registrar’s Office and Athletic Departments.

Carla’s duties in the Athletic Department are varied. She helps in monitoring athlete eligibility, plus a number of budgets. Her events management duties include arranging for event workers and making travel arrangements for the teams.

Carla is also involved in other campus activities, including serving as Career Service Association vice president and president in past years. She is a loyal supporter of Dakota State, and always has the University’s best interests in mind. People on campus enjoy her wit, humor, and common-sense approach to life.

Carla and her husband, Dan, celebrated their 25^th wedding anniversary this year. They have "My Three Sons," Mark, Michael, and Matthew, and a basset hound named "Flash." Carla states that his name does not necessarily indicate how fast he moves.

With the busiest of the sports seasons behind her for this year, Carla is looking forward to warm weather and summer.
