Julie and Vickie have gone beyond their
call of duty everyday ¨C first and foremost with their own buildings
responsibilities. They have been covering the cleaning responsibilities of
Higbie Hall due to Brian Smith on overseas military leave.
Julie has taken ownership of Emry Hall with keeping the dorm clean as if it
was her own home. She has decorated the kitchenettes so they reflect a
homey-feel.
Vickie has Richardson Hall with many cleaning dilemmas. She works on
building positive working relationships with the dorm staff and students to
ensure a safe and clean environment. Raising sons have helped her with
dealing with the boys of Richardson Hall.
Both Vickie and Julie have been working as a team for many years for the
summer team cleaning and during the current cleaning needs. They have been
supervising FWS students with the cleaning needs in Higbie Hall. It takes
this type of teamwork that helps keep things running smoothly.
Custodians working in the dorm setting are special people. They are some of
the first people students will come in contact with at the dorm. Vickie and
Julie have an intricate role in helping keep the student's dorm life clean
and safe.
