Ms. Shelly Rawstern is an outstanding employee of Dakota
State University and the College of Education. Shelly is the hub of
communications in the College of Education. She handles most of the
correspondence between the dean’s office and the College’s many
constituencies. She handles an incredible workload each day with remarkable
poise and accuracy. She works closely with a variety of committees,
including the Professional Education Council, the Master’s Operations
Committee, and the Student Advisory Committee. She has also assumed
additional responsibility with the Student Assessment and Monitoring
committee and with the portfolio review process. She stepped in and brought
order to the extensive and arduous process involved in student admission to
teacher education. Thanks to Shelly’s attention to detail, we are ensuring
only the students qualified are admitted to our program. In addition to her
regular office duties, she handles all travel requests and reimbursements as
well as monitors the budget for the College of Education.
