Health Insurance Changes for FY10
The
changes to the State Benefits Plans for FY 2010,
effective July 1, 2009 will include:
- No increase
in dependent health premiums.
- All health
plans for qualified members will include
coverage for preventive cancer screening
procedures including plan coverage for:
- Office
Visit
- Cost of
Procedures

Ancillary Fees
- Biopsies
Fees
- Lab
Fees

Pathology Fees
-
Physician Services
-
Reading/Interpretive Fees
- Testing
Fees
- $300 credit
for Opt Outs of the State health plan.
- Continue
$300 Incentive for Members with $2,000
Deductible Plan with Health Savings Account.
- Ability to
make pretax contributions to a Health
Savings Account.
- No increase
in premiums for the vision, major injury,
hospital indemnity, and/or short-term
disability plans.
- Delta Dental
Care Plan with two options.
- Reduced 30
Day generic retail copayment from $11.00 to
$9.00.
- Increasing
Lifetime Maximum for health and pharmacy
services to $2,000,000.
