Level III Field Experiences occur in the advanced professional block semester immediately prior
to student teaching and accompany specific advanced methods courses. Level III Field Experiences
incorporate the competencies acquired in Levels I and II and extend to more advanced instructional activities.
At this level candidates are engaged in teaching and learning activities, which allow them
to make decisions, assess candidates, manage candidates, and employ a variety of instructional
models and materials.
Level III Field Experiences for the Elementary/Special Education majors require
full-day clinically supervised teaching and learning activities in elementary classrooms for a
two-three week period. Level III Field Experiences for K-12 and Secondary Education majors require
half days or full days of clinically supervised teaching and learning activities in K-12 classrooms
for a two to three week period.
