1885 NORMAL SCHOOL –One of the first Laboratory Schools built in the nation. Moved into the building in November. 1886 NORMAL SCHOOL building burned to the ground in February 4th. 1886 BEADLE HALL (West Wing) 1886 WEST HALL (MEN'S DORMITORY) – Removed in 1909 1901 EAST HALL (Ladies Hall Dormitory) 1904 KENNEDY HALL (East Wing) – Removed in 1986 1909
WEST HALL RAZED (torn down, some materials 1910 TCB – TECHNOLOGY CLASSROOM BUILDING - (Performing Arts Center)(Women's Gym)(Science Hall) on the site where the Men’s West Hall Dormitory was). Completely renovated in 2002-03. 1913 HEATING PLANT (Power House) – Removed in 1971 1917 CAMPUS SCHOOL - fire destroyed it in January 19, 1963 1920 HESTON HALL (formerly the Madison Community Hospital). Bought by State of SD in 1966 and finished renovating in 1971 1922

DSU flags have recently been put on campus from Egan Avenue to Washington Avenue. 2005 April 7, construction started on the Madison Technology Center. It is located adjacent to the DSU Campus. 2008 Higbie & Richardson Hall Renovated. Window project in Beadle Hall. In Heston Hall, the Admission Office renovated.
