Madison Community Center
In 2000 the Madison Community Center was built as a joint effort between Dakota State University and the Madison Community. The Community Center, or CC as it is commonly called, is a facility providing activities for both young and old.9
The CC was built north of the main campus attached to the original
DSU Fieldhouse. This gave DSU a new building for the use of the students. The Madison Community also received a building to serve their needs.
The Community Center provides many activities for students and community members alike. These include:9
- An indoor pool with depths ranging from zero to 12 feet
- An 85 ft waterslide
- A double gym with wood floor
- Child care room and teen center
- Aerobics room
- Fitness center with cardiovascular and circuit training equipment
- Locker rooms for Men, Women, and Family
- A 1/12th mile Walking Track
- Climbing wall, Racquetball Courts
