Track
Although multiple things have changed regarding track, the rules, regulations, and etiquette has remained the same.
Today the track and field "Trojans" are coached by Buzz Stevenson and are affiliated with the NAIA Division II .
Coach Buzz has been a great coach at Dakota State University. He did a fine job by coaching each individual athlete to achieve their goal through out the season. He coached a lot of years at DSU and helped the team to become more successful each year.
In 1999,it was said that "DSU places well in Dakota Champions”. 21 Every year there has always been an individual athlete from Dakota State University that qualified for Dac-10 Championship; there has also been a few that went to the NAIA Championships. Furthermore, Six Dakota State University track and field athletes qualified to compete at the NAIA National meet in 2002. The track team is improving every season and Coach Buzz is doing a great job recruiting wonderful athletes.
