Topics in information
technology focusing on computer-based hardware, software, and communication
systems concepts, and terminology. Intended for people who will use
computers as everyday tools. Students will work with at least two
operating systems (i.e., UNIX and Windows) and the creation of
problem-solving applications using office-suite software. Required for
non-information systems undergraduates. Students with an extensive IT
background but without UNIX knowledge may take only the UNIX portion of the
course for 1 credit with permission of the instructor. |
