Course Description:   A basic knowledge of Indian history with emphasis on the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota speaking peoples.  Current cultural issues are presented including values, family structures, traditional religion, fine arts, legends, economics, governmental policies, treaties, acts, and related areas.  Focuses on teaching methods, content and materials to equip students to teach bi-culturally.
