		From:	Advanced study of nomenclatures and classifications. Introduction to CPT coding and coding practice will be addressed using manual and automated encoding systems. Reimbursement management and optimization issues will be investigated for both hospital and non-hospital entities. Emphasis will be placed on coding in the outpatient setting. Concepts integrated into laboratory and computer experience.
		To:	CPT/HCPCS coding and coding practice will be addressed using manual and automated encoding systems. Emphasis will be placed on coding in the outpatient setting. Concepts integrated into laboratory and computer experience with assignment of codes to various clinical statements, scenarios, reports, and patient records.

The title clearly indicates the coding system primarily utilized in this course. The course description includes

information regarding the depth of the application experiences. Course content related to reimbursement

methodologies and billing will be moved out of this course.
