EXPLANATION OF THE CHANGE: Recent changes to the NCATE standards
require that programs reflect national standards established by the
disciplines; the above change represents the standards set by NCTE, with new requirements
for courses in technology and young adult literature. These requirements have
reduced the number of elective credits for English Education students, but
this is consistent with program requirements in other Education programs. |
