  1. Provide specific reasons for the proposal of this course and explain how the changes enhance the curriculum. 

Based upon faculty, cooperating teacher and student feedback, the current embedded Level 3 Field Experience for SPED 442 provided pre-service teachers limited opportunities to work with K-8 students evidencing learning disabilities.  Therefore, this proposed curriculum change will significantly enhance the Level 3 Field Experiences by providing a formal structured practicum experience throughout the Advanced Professional Block for Elementary and Special Education pre-service teachers.
