CIS 422: Software Security

 

The course addresses software engineering techniques and programming techniques for development of secure software systems where system failure and vulnerabilities are costly.  Students will also gain understanding of the software security risks faced by secure software professionals. Topics include secure software requirements analysis and specification, secure system design, and writing secure code best practices and analysis of code vulnerability

The Security major is shifting topics to more accurately reflect the broad focus on computer security, network security,

software security, and forensics. The CIS 414, 416, 418, and 422 courses are being updated to more accurately reflect this structure.
