Cost Calculation Example

Use the Semester Rate Schedule page to compute your estimated expenses for the current school year. The costs listed are not necessarily ALL of the costs you will incur as a student at Dakota State University. Once you receive your financial aid award letter, use the Semester Cost Worksheet to subtract that amount from the costs to arrive at your estimated out-of-pocket cost for the semester or full year

Example:

A new student from Wyoming is registering for 15 credits and living on campus. His classes are ENGL 101, CSC 105, BIOL 101, BIOL 101L, WEL 100, WEL 100L, MATH 021. He is living in Higbie Hall with a roommate and has signed up for the Blue & Gold Meal Plan. He also wants to put $300 into his Trojan Gold account.

His semester charges are:
