INTERNSHIP INFORMATION FOR DSU STUDENTS
Internships supplement classroom instruction by allowing
students to gain real-world experience prior to graduation.
Student interns must have completed at least two years of academic credit and be
majoring in a field related to the
internship project.
Internships
can be completed during the summer, a semester, or a combination of the two.
The Office of Career &
Internship
Services can help you find an internship, or you can also secure one on your
own. For a list of the internships
currently listed through Career Services,

Before an internship position is accepted,
students should consult with their college's
academic internship coordinator
to ensure that the experience indeed supplements the learning process and
applies to the individual students needs.
Internships must be approved by the academic coordinator and the dean
prior to the student beginning the internship.
Credit hours earned for the internship are based primarily upon the quality of
the internship and are determined by the
academic coordinator and the dean. IMPORTANT: Students must register for
the internship credit prior to beginning the
internship.
