Management Information Systems (BBA)

This program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The program focuses on Computing and Information Sciences in a business environment to include accounting, finance, management, marketing production and operations management, business law, human resource management, computer applications, systems analysis, computer programming, and computer operating systems.

Account Representative-Technology Sales: Maintains relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential accounts in the high-tech sector. Resolves customer issues/problems. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.

Applications System Analyst: Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization’s application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.

Business Development Manager: Identifies, negotiates and manages strategic relationships with content and technological partners. Manages the marketing, sales and product development teams to implement business development initiatives. Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or marketing with 4 years of experience in the field or a related area.

Business Systems Analyst: Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of users needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Interfaces with relational database and client-server systems.

Director Information Technology: Establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the information technology department. Analyzes the needs of departments and establishes priorities for feasibility studies, systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify the company’s information processing systems.

Customer Service Representative: Responds to customer inquires regarding orders, billing inquiries and technical problem notifications. Documents customer trouble reports in trouble ticketing system and escalates according to established standard operating procedures. Also reviews requests, contacts customers to clarify request, ensuring all necessary information is included and may route requests to the appropriate department.

Help Desk Expert: Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Tracks and monitors the problem to insure a timely resolution.

Information Systems Auditor: Evaluates information systems and operating procedures. Determines and recommends improvements in current standards and implementation of system changes.

Bachelor of Business Administration Degree Programs

The Bachelor of Business Administration majors are accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

The Bachelor of Business Administration program blends a solid computer orientation with traditional business, accounting, marketing, management, and finance courses. Computer related activities are integrated into coursework.

Students are required to select one business related major from Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing. These specific majors greatly enhance the student’s future employment opportunities.
