Management (BBA)
This program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The program blends solid computer orientation with traditional business. In addition to management courses, subjects will also include accounting, finance, marketing, business law, computer applications, and computer programming.
Graduates will:
- Understand basic concepts and application of management and production/operations, along with accounting systems, finance, economics, , marketing, and computer skills.
- Understand technological and innovative processes in business, industry, and government.
- Learn idea generation and screening and steps to start a business.
- Understand the management of human resources in business organizations.
- Understand decision processes.
- Understand computer programming concepts including Visual BASIC.
- Understand the legal and ethical operations of a business entity
Example Career Choices
Customer Service Manager: Manages a staff of customer service representatives and ensures that customers are satisfied, and that their needs are fulfilled.
Administrative Services Manager: Directs and coordinates administrative services, which may include office clerical and support services, printing, mail distribution and messenger services, telecommunications, maintenance, purchasing, security, and cafeteria services.
Sales Manager: Manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals. Designs and recommends sales and marketing programs and sets short and long-term sales strategies.
Advertising Manager: Organizes advertising for print media. Coordinates scheduling and promotions to ensure client satisfaction and project completion. Maintains client relationships. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
Restaurant Manager: Manages the daily operations of a restaurant. Relies on education, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
Reservations Manager: Receives and disburses money in larger establishments or prestigious retail chains. May also be responsible for processing credit card transactions.
Branch Manager: Oversees the daily activities of a branch office, for instance, hiring and training new sales agents, loss prevention, and operations. Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on educations, extensive experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Supervises all staff.
