Accounting (BBA)

This program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and blends solid computer orientation with traditional business instruction. In addition to accounting, students also take finance, management, marketing, production and operations management, business law, computer applications, and computer programming courses.

Cost Accountant: Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports and costing audits. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Financial Analyst: Responsible for conducting financial analysis projects and statistical studies. Maintains knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

Internal Auditor: Audits the accounting and financial data of various departments within an organization. Maintains knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

Payroll Administrator: Maintains production records, timesheets, and payroll system. May be responsible for computing withholding and deductions associated with net earnings. Typically reports to a payroll manager.

Controller: Responsible for directing an organization's accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to top management. Typically reports to top financial officer or CEO.

Bachelor of Business Administration Degree Programs

The Bachelor of Business Administration majors are accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

The Bachelor of Business Administration program blends a solid computer orientation with traditional business, accounting, marketing, management, and finance courses. Computer related activities are integrated into coursework.

Students are required to select one business related major from Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing. These specific majors greatly enhance the student’s future employment opportunities.
