Rachael Jensen have her name recorded in the Trojan Volleyball
Record
Book this past weekend in the University of Sioux Falls Classic.
The Trojans concluded the classic with a 1-3 record, but this
young Trojan squad came in all games by going to five games in
three of four matches played at the Stewart Center in Sioux
Falls, SD.
Jensen, sophomore outside
hitter, recorded 27 kills in Trojans' first season win over Dana
in five games. The 27 kills placed Jensen second in the
Trojan Volleyball Record Book for most kills in a match, just
one short of tying Amanda Vos-Keizer. For the tournament,
Jensen amassed 64 kills (3.37 kills per game). As a
result, Jensen was named All-Tournament team for the Trojans.
She leads the team in kills with 129 kills and 3.58 kills per
game for the season. Rachael is the daughter of Mark and
Jonda Jensen of Beresford, SD, and is majoring in Physical
Therapy at Dakota State University.
The Trojans (1-8, 0-1 DAC)
return back to DAC Conference action on the road this weekend,
looking for their first conference win of the season. On
Friday night, the Trojans will face nationally ranked Dickinson
State in Dickinson, ND (8:00 pm CT/7:00 pm MT), and Saturday
night versus Minot State in Minot, ND (7:00 pm CT).
