(Madison, SD) -
The Dakota State University
Trojan Volleyball program has signed the talented trio of Krista
Klemm, Dominique Lee, and Margie Anthony head coach Cynthia

recruiting class for Dakota State University.
____________________________________________________________________________
 Klemm
is a 5’8” setter from Rock Springs, WI; she played her prep
career for Reedsburg Area High School in Reedsburg, WI. She
played club volleyball for Wisconsin Power Sauk County. Klemm
has had a very outstanding prep career including being named the
Reedsburg Area High School Female Scholar-Athlete of the year,
and has been on the Reedsburg High Honor Roll consistently
during her high school career. Along with her academics, Klemm
has been recognized for her athletic abilities in being named
the team captain for both her high school volleyball and
basketball teams. Klemm was selected All Conference in 2006 and
led her team to Sectionals during the 2006 high school season.
During her 2006 prep campaign she was also chosen as the 2006
Best Setter and the 2006 Most Valuable Player. She was selected
Honorable Mention All Conference in 2005 and was voted the best
setter and best server in 2005. Along with her duties on the
volleyball and basketball courts, Klemm is involved with Spanish
Club, National Honor Society, and is on the Student Advisory
Committee. In her senior year, Klemm had 733 assists, 92 digs
(4th on her team), and 44 aces (2nd on her team). “Krista is a
great addition to our program,” said head coach Cynthia Henning,
“she has great court sense and is a natural leader both on and
off the court.” Coach Henning added “She fits in well with our
system and really meshed with our team during her visit. I’m
very excited that Krista is a part of our program and thinks
she’ll have a great career here at Dakota State.” Klemm is an
elementary education major and is the daughter of Tim and Laurie
Klemm.
Dominique
Lee is a 5’10” middle hitter from Hurley, South Dakota. She
played her prep career at Viborg
High School and was coached by former Trojan Volleyball player
and DSU Alum Connie Nyhaug. Lee is a three sport athlete for the
Vikings but will focus on volleyball during her college career.
She is a member of the National Honor Society and is a two term
Student Body President. She was selected as the 2005 Gatorade
Will to Win Athlete and during her prep volleyball career led
her team in 2005 with the most blocks and with the best serving
percentage. “Dominique brings a lot of explosiveness in the
middle for us. She may be moved to the outside for us, but she
has a vertical that would allow her to be competitive in our
conference at the middle even though she is “short” by height
standards in our conference for a middle hitter,” said head
coach Cynthia Henning. “Dominique is another kid that just fit
in really well with our program and system,” continued Coach
Henning, “she has a real desire to compete and become better
every day. That attitude and drive will serve her very well on
the volleyball court as well as in the classroom. We are really
happy that Dominique chose Dakota State and Trojan Volleyball,”
concluded Coach Henning. Lee is the daughter of Troy and Amy Lee
and is an education major.
Margie
Anthony is a 5’9” outside hitter/right
side hitter from Jefferson, South Dakota who played her prep
career at Dakota Valley High School and is a three sport
(volleyball, basketball, track) multi-year letter winner for the
Panthers. At Dakota State Anthony will compete in volleyball and
also triple jump for the women’s track team. During her prep
career, Anthony helped lead the Dakota Valley volleyball program
to a regional championship in 2004 and they were state
qualifiers in 2005. “Margie has great jumping ability and
explosiveness that when combined with her competitive fire makes
her a great asset for our program,” stated Trojan Volleyball
coach Cynthia Henning. Along with her accomplishments on the
field she is a member of National Honor Society, a
Scholar-Athlete, and Academic All State aware winner. “Margie’s
performance in the classroom as well as on the volleyball court
makes her an ideal choice for us,” continued Coach Henning, “she
has a great attitude and is very focused both academically and
athletically and those are the traits we look for in our student
athletes.” During her senior year she was voted the team MVP and
was an All Conference and All Region selection and was selected
to play in the South Dakota All Star Games to be played in July.
Anthony is the daughter of Mark and Tana Anthony and is
undecided on her major area of study.
