Trojan Volleyball Picked to Finish 8th in DAC


Dickinson State favored to win eighth straight DAC volleyball title

(Madison, SD) – For the eighth straight year, the DAC coaches' choice to capture the Dakota Athletic Conference women's volleyball championship is Dickinson State.

The Blue Hawks picked up six first place votes to top the conference preseason poll.  Jamestown received the final two first place votes to finish second in the poll.  Valley City State received third place in balloting followed by Black Hills State, South Dakota School of Mines, Mayville State, Minot State, and Dakota State.

The Trojans return eight players from last year's squad that finished 1-13 in the DAC and 9-18 overall.  With twelve new players on the squad, the Trojans are looking to blend old and new for a much better season performance in both conference and non-conference play.

The poll was conducted by the Dakota Athletic Conference.  Below are the results of the DAC Preseason Volleyball Coaches' Poll with first place votes in parenthesis (coaches could not vote for their own team):
