Dickinson State favored to win eighth
straight DAC
volleyball title
(Madison, SD) –
For the eighth straight year, the DAC coaches' choice to capture the
Dakota Athletic Conference women's volleyball championship is Dickinson
State.
The Blue Hawks
picked up six first place votes to top the conference preseason poll.
Jamestown received the final two first place votes to finish second in
the poll. Valley City State received third place in balloting
followed by Black Hills State, South Dakota School of Mines, Mayville
State, Minot State, and Dakota State.
The Trojans return
eight players from last year's squad that finished 1-13 in the DAC and
9-18 overall. With twelve new players on the squad, the Trojans
are looking to blend old and new for a much better season performance in
both conference and non-conference play.
The poll was
conducted by the Dakota Athletic Conference.
Below are the results of the DAC
Preseason Volleyball Coaches' Poll with first place votes in parenthesis
