
Rachael Jensen a 5'9" outside hitter
from Beresford, South Dakota has
signed to play for the Dakota State University volleyball team, head
coach
Cynthia Henning has announced.
"Rachael is a
great addition to our team," Coach Henning said, "she has a
great swing and has very, very strong fundamentals. She is a very
explosive
player, and we are very excited to have her with our volleyball
program."
During her high
school career Jensen has been on the Beresford High
School Honor Roll and was selected to the Academic All-State team.
Jensen has had a
stellar athletic career with the Watchdogs earning
All Conference, All Region, and All State honors in both her junior and
senior years. She was selected to the All Tournament Team at the Bon
Homme Tournament both her junior and senior years and was co-captain of
her team.
During her
senior volleyball season she led her team in kills, kill percentage,
digs and was third in aces.
"Rachael is a
very good student athlete and really epitomizes the type of person we
want in our volleyball program." Coach Henning added "she has a great
academic and athletic record at the high school level, and we are very
proud to have her attending Dakota State and competing for the Trojans.
Rachael is the
daughter of Mark and Jonda Jensen.
