(Madison, SD) –
Bellevue (Neb.) University and Doane (Neb.) College ended up with twin
4-0 marks in Bellevue's Bruin Labor Day Volleyball Classic.
Dakota State University ended the two-day tournament with a
2-2 record, having lost to both Bellevue and Doane. Bellevue
entered their own tournament ranked No. 20 by the
NAIA.
On Saturday, DSU fell to Bellevue and Doane by identical 3-0 scores.
Bellevue defeated the Trojan women 32-30, 30-20,
30-18. Then the Trojans lost 32-30, 30-20 and 30-18 to
Doane.
The Trojan women garnered their two tourney wins on Friday.
DSU defeated Avila University
3-1 (30-28, 24-30, 30-23 and 30-21) and Peru
(Neb.) State College 3-1 (30-14, 24-30, 33-31 and 30-23).
DSU's next volleyball play comes Wednesday at Jamestown,
N.D., taking on Jamestown College in conference play at
7 p.m.
