"We talked before the
match about how we had begun conference play with a win, and
how we wanted
to finish conference play the same way," said DSU Coach Cynthia Henning.
The Trojans accomplished that goal, closing out their regular season with
three straight game wins of 30-25, 30-28 and 30-23. DSU now has a 22-8
overall record and a third place-ending 10-3 mark in the conference.
Valley City State ended its season at 6-18 overall and 1-12 in the DAC-10.

"Finishing the regular season at 22-8 was a very nice accomplishment for
our players," added Henning. "But, they know that regular-season records
don't mean anything in the playoffs."
