"Our players have taken
on the challenge of improving themselves every match and every practice,"
said DSU Coach Cynthia Henning. "This weekend we played at a very high
level and, more importantly, a very consistent level."
The Trojans reeled off
two straight wins Friday, beating Presentation College 3-0 (30-19, 30-13,
30-25) and Minot State
University 3-1 (31-33, 30-23, 30-25, 30-21).
On Saturday, the Trojans went 1-1.
Playing a marathon match against Briar Cliff, the Trojans fell 2-3 (30-26,
26-30, 30-21, 24-30, 13-15).
DSU came back to close out the invitational with a 3-0 (30-20, 30-24,
30-21) whitewashing of the University of Sioux Falls.
