The Dakota Athletic
Conference has honored Trojan senior
Laura
Lanoue as DAC Libero of the Week. Lanoue, a native of Tracy,
MN, had 118 digs (7.87 digs per game) with a .952 serve
percentage and a .974 reception percentage as the Trojans
recorded as 1-3 record at the University of Sioux Falls/Empire
Bowl Volleyball Classic.
Lanoue is currently
the DAC’s leader in digs with an average of 7.8 per game and 219
digs total. According to the NAIA
DakStats statistical website, she is third in the nation in digs
per game (7.82). Lanoue moved up from fifth to fourth in Trojan
Volleyball Record Book with a career digs of 1543.
Laura is the daughter
of Greg and Karen Lanoue of Tracy, MN. Laura’s planned major is
Accounting/Finance at Dakota State University.
The Trojans (2-5) will
continue their matches on the road as they will compete in the
University of Wisconsin-Stout Tournament this weekend. On
Friday, the Trojans will take on University of Wisconsin-Stevens
Point at 4:00 pm and Northwestern (MN) at 6:00 pm. On the
second day of the tournament Saturday, the Trojans will face
Viterbo (WI) at 10:00 am and conclude the day facing the host
team University of Wisconsin-Stout at 2:00 pm.
