| Kari graduated from Madison High School as a Regent Scholar and the State Cross Country Champion in 2001. Schaefer finished runner-up in '02 and 3rd individually in '03. On the track, Kari finished runner-up in the 3200 her sophomore season. Kari transferred from SDSU where she finished as high as 14th at the D-I Independent Cross Country Championships. On the track, she finished 5th in the 1500 and 800 at the Independent Championships in 2006 and 7th in the 800 in 2007. Kari was also selected to the All-Academic team from 2004-2007. | ||
