Hubers Rejoins Trojans for 2007-08

Madison, SD 12/7/2007 - The Dakota State University softball program is excited to welcome back Amber http://www.departments.dsu.edu/athletics/women/softball/Press%20Releases/2008%20SB%20Press%20Releases/Am%20Huber%20web.JPG(Hubers) Otkin. Amber left after the completion of the 2006 season to serve as a missionary in the Dominican Republic. Upon Ambers’ return to the states, Amber married Jake Otkin who currently is on active duty in Iraq.

“I am very pleased that Amber has decided to return to Dakota State and to our softball program. Amber is a fun-loving person who brings a great work ethic and a sense of maturity with her. The fact that Amber is familiar with our program, and is a multi-talented athlete will help her contribute to our program in a variety of roles this season.”

During the 2006 season Amber hit .301 for the Trojans while recording 44 hits and stealing 12 bases.  The Trojans open their season against Grandview College on February 8th, Grandview qualified for the national tournament in 2006.
