Trojans Remain #9 in Latest Poll

Sioux City, IA 4/23/07 - The Dakota State University softball remains #9 in the latest NAIA region III poll released earlier today. The Trojans who went 2-2 last week stay at #9 while Briar Cliff leaps back into the poll at #8.

    The Trojans have six games this week that may help them improve their regional ranking. The Trojans take on Presentation College on Tuesday, Mayville State on Wednesday and NCAA D-II opponent Northern State on Sunday, before wrapping up their regular season with NCAA D-I opponent South Dakota State University on next Tuesday.

     "We are happy to still be ranked, we had a great opportunity to improve our ranking this past weekend against Jamestown, but we let it slip away. We still have time to help ourselves if we can continue to play well down the stretch." stated head coach Ken Prorok.
