Mother
Nature Strikes Again
Madison, SD 4/10/07 -
Mother Nature has once again forced the Dakota
State University softball program to rearrange
their schedule. The Trojans who were scheduled
to host the Comets of Mayville State University,
have been forced to reschedule the game for the
18th of April, due to inclement playing
conditions.
To date the Trojans have been forced to
reschedule, postpone or cancel 26 different
games. The Trojans have been able to reschedule
most of these contests and are slated to play 18
games in the next 21 days.
"This spring has been very difficult not only on
schedules but also on our student-athletes, they
have basically been on an "on-call" status for
the past three weeks, packed and waiting to see
if we are playing or not playing almost on a
daily basis. Our kids have handled all of the
schedule changes very well, and have came ready
to compete when we do play." stated head coach
Ken Prorok.
The Trojans are scheduled to travel to Minot, ND
this weekend to take on the Beavers of Minot
State University. The Beavers are currently 10-4
overall, 3-1 in the conference and are ranked
2nd in the conference and 5th in the region.
