DSU to Play in Dakota Dome

Madison, SD 3/15/06 – The games scheduled against Mt. Marty and Dakota Wesleyan have been rescheduled due to inclement weather conditions in the region. The games have been moved to the Dakota Dome in Vermilion, South Dakota on the campus of the University of South Dakota.

The Trojans who are currently 9-5 and off to their best start in the last three years, will take on the Tigers of Dakota Wesleyan in a doubleheader on Saturday March 18th at 10:00 pm. On Sunday the Trojans will then face the Lancers of Mt. Marty College on Sunday March 19th with the first pitch set for 10:00 pm.

“Obviously starting at 10:00 at night will be a unique situation for our team but the opportunity to play in the USD Dakota Dome is something that we can not pass up. Our team has responded well to everything that has been thrown at them this year, so we don’t expect the schedule or the change of scenery to make any difference in the way we play.” Stated Associate Head Coach Ken Prorok.

The Trojans will continue preparations for the weekend today and Thursday before traveling on Saturday to Vermilion.
