Dakota State Trojan Football Head Coach
Tom Shea would like to announce two signees to play for
Dakota State University.
Tyler Schroeder of Canistota, SD will play defensive back
for the Trojans. At Canistota High School (co-op
football with Bridgewater), he was Class 9AA All-State
Quarterback in 2007 and Punter in 2006, Cornbelt
All-Conference first team in quarterback (2007) and
defensive back (2006), and Team Captain. He was named
to the team offense's Most Valuable Player and was the
starter for four years. Schroeder also lettered in
track and field where he qualified to the state track meet
since he was a freshman. Tyler is the son of Lenny and
Kim Schroeder of Canistota, SD.
Reid Meierkort of Vermillion, SD had decided to play for
Trojan Football program as quarterback/defensive back.
He was an All-Conference in football and team captain.
Meierkort was named to All-State in baseball team for three
years. Reid is the son of Ed and Terri Meierkort of
Vermillion, SD. Reid's dad, Ed, is the head football
coach for University of South Dakota.
